Cristina Everett is an accomplished multimedia journalist with experience in audio production, writing and editing for print and digital, and managing staff. She has spent more than a decade working within entertainment and news journalism, and is dedicated to social newsgathering and all things pop culture.
As managing executive producer of podcasts at iHeartRadio, the No. 1 commercial podcast publisher globally, she oversees a vast slate of shows ranging from topics including news, entertainment, lifestyle, food, finance, politics, true crime and more. She’s involved in every stage—from conceptualizing new shows, writing scripts, producing episodes, and distribution and marketing.
Previously, Cristina was the deputy digital editor of Entertainment Weekly, where she helped manage a 40-person editorial staff to create engaging content that would span more than 75 stories per day. She oversaw all special projects –– including EW’s annual Fall TV Cover Bracket, contests and giveaways, and interactive online features –– and strategized with the sales and marketing teams to create monetization opportunities that would deliver traffic goals.
Parallel to that, Cristina wrote and edited the magazine’s first podcast section, which featured interviews with hosts and spotlighted up-and-coming shows. She went on to create and produce the brand’s first slate of podcasts, resulting in Time Inc.’s most successful shows in both downloads and revenue. She also served as executive producer on Cover-Up, People Magazine’s first podcast that debuted at #4 on the Apple Podcasts charts and garnered millions of downloads. Previously, she oversaw the digital entertainment department at the New York Daily News, and earned her stripes as a reporter for celebrity weekly magazines.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Cristina has made a home for herself on the East Coast for over a decade. She currently resides in Brooklyn.
